93313 covers southwest subdivisions that have grown quickly. 93304 includes South Chester. Both are a short drive along main roads.
From the north and Highway 99
Panama Lane shoppers and Highway 99 travelers reach us by S Union Ave. If your car fails, the repair bay is on site so the trip does not repeat.
Before you drive over
Call (661) 599-9098 with your year, make and model, and your renewal notice if it mentions STAR or Test-Only.
A south side with fewer stations than you would expect
Parts of the east county and the far south side have fewer smog stations within easy driving distance than the central city does. That means longer waits at the stations that exist, especially near registration deadlines. Choosing a shop on the way to or from work, and visiting at off-peak times, usually saves more time than chasing a coupon. Taft Highway is a natural commuter route for that reason.
Combining errands
A smog check takes under an hour for most drivers. Many people use the time to buy groceries on Panama Lane, run to the Fairgrounds area or finish a bank visit. If you wait at the shop, bring your renewal notice and a payment method. If you need a repair as well, tell us your schedule so we can plan the day around when you can return.
